Has to be squashed into the scanner now so ..

looks like I will finish it ! The next thing you know is I'll be going for laceweights and one of Gill's fabulous patterns. A book is on it's way from E:Bay so that will interrupt for a while . I found some Trendsetter yarns on a U.K site yesterday and was about to order a couple when I noticed they cost more than Noro's finest .In fact "Tonalita" is the same mix as Wendy's "Fusion" but twice the price . Kendra's "Matilda Jane" so inspired Holly I ordered the pattern thanks to Ysolda ( the designer) agreeing to a cheque. I particularly love Kendra's colour choices. Posted by Picasa

So tell, so tell, what's the pattern from Gill and WHAT is the book you probably nabbed from under my nose on eBay? (I got an Alice Starmore though, so there! The Fishermen's Sweaters one.) Aren't we all moving into laceweight yarns? Like it's a reaction to too much chunky or something.

Hi Jo..no laughing please ! It's a Jean Plaidy ( who I have never read and might be awful..guess which petite Frenchwoman it is about....her husband was head over block in love with her). I havn't bought any of Gill's patterns yet but oh boy! do I want to they are all gorgeous! As I seem to be going half-blind not so sure I'd cope with one.

Charity ..better still that pin once held Holly's nappies on !
Amber..half way through the book and honestly it's not bad .She knows all the facts and I think she has a fair idea if how confused and sad a 15 year old girl would be ,why she was hated here etc. She was loving and loyal to her family in some very difficult times, which of us could cope. I love her gusto and Jean captures that well .I have no idea why but she does have a special place in my heart ,no other monarch interests me. She deserves a lovely memorial .It is incredibly sad that her children are buried all over the place .One thing I can say is thank-God my best friend as a child was a Catholic ..no divided streets ,no soldiers patrolling to keep us apart .
