Mum's health..

Thanks for the mails of concern. It turns out that she has Shingles ( always loved the sea-side).Anyhow she'll need lots of care and attention but it is a relief ,as nasty as it is that it is not something fatal. Thanks for caring.

What a relief to know that it is Shingles - not nice, but at least everyone will know how to care for her. Hope Benjy is better too! Gill x

It was a relief Gill and we all got to tease her about bringing Bognor to her in bits ..as she has longed to go back there.I was six when we came to Reading.I hate seeing her so frail though..I cry and my sisters pat me and sigh...Heather slept on the floor next to her last night but kept waking her up to ask how she was .So she'll be glad to shoo us out !

I hope your Mum starts to get better soon. I can remember when my Grandad had shingles and how exhausted and ill he felt.

Thank-you Kendra..it's hard not to hug them as if they were children when they are so tired and in pain.

Isn't it awful when you love people? Nearly enough to make you swear off human relationships! A hostage to fortune every one of them. (And now you're going to get a cat as well - more lives to worry about!) Sending strong thoughts to your Mum - are you keeping the chocolate to hand?

Very true Jo..and I have to say Cats have always meant as much as other family so hope Benjy stays healthy ! Being the World's biggest worrier doesn't help. When H.B was a baby I twice ran to a neighbour because I thought she'd gone blind and once I nearly did C.P.R on her in town because she looked like she'd stopped breathing! I am going to treat myself to some Lindt Cointreau today..the deli has probably got Christmas stock in .
