This morning I sat tying pennies into my knitted scarf and Holly said "Mother sits in the corner doing something surreal again" . I then tied it into a bundle and felted it ...shibori knobs ! This is only a section and bits of silk remain which I tied them in with..I'll brush them off when I dry it.

Lovely colours and the Moonbeam is dreamy too - but wow! At that price it is only a dream!
The pennies are already out and it's dry now .The little pockets have stayed well.I've seen it done with round stones making more of a bubble .It's a scarf but a little short so am thinking of making a felt fringe of bobbles maybe ?
For a moment I read 'making a felt fringe of bottles'. My error, but I wouldn't put anything past you! The bottles would make really BIG shapes wouldn't they...?
Love the penny idea. You are great to take these ideas like Shibori and run with them. Something else for me to copy from you!
I know Reading Council want more re-cycling but that's going a bit far..if Holly was up she'd say "I wouldn't be surprised either ".I have an appt. with her to watch last night's "Desperate Houswives" ..we are really relishing the M.I.L from hell bit ..sadly !
